The Lightswitch Project

All our pieces are made from recycled sterling silver.

In the earlier days of this business we experimented with using other available materials rescued from our own immediate environment.

One experimental project involved using a brass light switch which was rescued whilst we were having our house rewired. It was gradually sawn up to release pieces of brass for incorporation into various pieces of jewellery. It was interesting to explore how brass behaved compared to Sterling silver and whilst it's not as soft as silver it demonstrates that it can be used to produce some wearable jewellery.
